This site at a glance

Welcome to Animal Aid International's new site! The site will be under construction for a while as we transition to the new format and gradually add more content. Our featured post will always be pinned to the top of the page, directly below this text. That is the fundraiser most in need of support. In the menu on the right you can click to learn a little more about AAI and can navigate to stories of animals we have helped. Please note at this time only fundraisers for 2016 and 2017 are fully loaded and we will be slowly adding more stories from previous years. Thank you for your support of our work!

2015 - June 25 - 4 kittens

Friends,

This is the sad story of 4 kittens rescued from the streets of Bulgaria. It is unknown if the babies were born on the streets or born to someone's pet and dumped on the streets. Regardless of how these cuties ended up alone and homeless, the had a very, very rough start in life. These vulnerable souls contracted calicivirus which badly affected their eyes. By the time the rescuers learned about the kittens, of the 8 little eyes only 1 or 2 could see. The kitties were taken to a clinic and the vets are fighting to save as much of their vision as possible. At this point, both boys will likely remain completely blind and their eyes will need to be surgically removed. The little girls fared better and will likely keep an eye each. Please help us raise the funds for these innocent souls' vet treatment. Let's help them be free of pain! To view all 4 babies and to donate: http://www.youcaring.com/animal-aid-international-379114

Sadly, one of the boys passed away today, 6/26. The rescuers had found the poor soul too late and infection from the horribly ill eyes had spread into his brain causing damage the vets were unable to reverse. Run free, sweet boy!
