This site at a glance

Welcome to Animal Aid International's new site! The site will be under construction for a while as we transition to the new format and gradually add more content. Our featured post will always be pinned to the top of the page, directly below this text. That is the fundraiser most in need of support. In the menu on the right you can click to learn a little more about AAI and can navigate to stories of animals we have helped. Please note at this time only fundraisers for 2016 and 2017 are fully loaded and we will be slowly adding more stories from previous years. Thank you for your support of our work!

2016 - Nov 19 - Vickie

Meet tiny Vickie. She was rescued from the streets of Bulgaria at only 1 or 2 days old! She was likely born on the streets and dropped as the mama cat was moving babies to a safer location. Or her Mom died suddenly and the baby was left helpless. Of course, it is also possible Vickie was born to a cat who was someone's pet and simply dumped on the streets as a nuisance.

The rescuers were able to find a nursing mother cat to help Vickie survive. But along the way, likely as a congenital defect, Vickie developed rectal prolapse and severe swelling of her tiny belly. We are hoping you will join us in raising the funds for this adorable soul who needs surgery to ensure her intestines work right.
