2016 - Nov 12 - Justin

Meet Justin. He's an older dog, probably around 10 years old, who has been homeless for likely a long time. He was found on the streets of Bulgaria, completely emaciated, so weak he was not able to move. Justin was taken to the vet where they found he has a very advanced case of ehrlichiosis - a potentially fatal tick borne illness. His body is so ravaged by the disease that his will to eat and live are almost gone. Justin is also very scared of humans and will take a while to learn to trust again. It's anyone's guess what horrible things he may have suffered at the hand of humans before to now be so terrified of touch.
