2016 - Nov 19 - Vickie

Meet tiny Vickie. She was rescued from the streets of Bulgaria at only 1 or 2 days old! She was likely born on the streets and dropped as the mama cat was moving babies to a safer location. Or her Mom died suddenly and the baby was left helpless. Of course, it is also possible Vickie was born to a cat who was someone's pet and simply dumped on the streets as a nuisance.

The rescuers were able to find a nursing mother cat to help Vickie survive. But along the way, likely as a congenital defect, Vickie developed rectal prolapse and severe swelling of her tiny belly. 2016 - Nov 12 - Justin

Meet Justin. He's an older dog, probably around 10 years old, who has been homeless for likely a long time. He was found on the streets of Bulgaria, completely emaciated, so weak he was not able to move. Justin was taken to the vet where they found he has a very advanced case of ehrlichiosis - a potentially fatal tick borne illness. His body is so ravaged by the disease that his will to eat and live are almost gone. Justin is also very scared of humans and will take a while to learn to trust again. It's anyone's guess what horrible things he may have suffered at the hand of humans before to now be so terrified of touch.

2016 - Oct 28 - Yuli & Yonnie

This is a modest combined fund for two kitties rescued from the streets of Bulgaria. Yuli was rescued from inside a water drain. Perhaps from the fall, perhaps due to different trauma, Yuli's leg was severely injured and she needs funds for amputation surgery. Yonnie was found helpless in some bushes with one eye dead from an infection and one eye barely able to see. Yonnie is in need of funds for eye treatment so the infected one is not an open wound (treatment has started on credit, immediately upon rescue). Please consider helping these sweeties today. 2016 - Sep 28 - Boozhoo, Spirit, Rex, + 10 Romanian dogs

This is a combined fund for 13 dogs rescued from the streets of Romania. All 13 pups are in need of vaccines, and half of them are due for parasite treatments as well. The two new additions to the crew are babies Boozhoo and Spirit, two adorable brothers, and pup Rex, all featured in the combined photo. The three male doggies were all rescued from the streets. 2016 Sep 14 and 2017 Nov 3- Princess

Meet Princess. She is a poor dog in Romania rescued from a very neglectful situation. Princess had a home in which she was barely fed and left outside all the time. She had puppies multiple times and after her most recent litter she ended up with uterine prolapse and owners who had no intention to help her! Thanks to your support, Princess had uterine prolapse surgery. Unfortunately, she is still experiencing significant urine incontinence and needs a second procedure in order to become continent again and have a chance at a safe adoptive home.

2016 - Aug 31 - Mina

Meet Mina. The poor girl was rescued from the streets of Bulgaria where she had likely been hit by a car. It's anyone's guess whether Mina has ever had a home or has lived all her life kicked around on the streets. The poor girl ended up with a leg fracture.
