Meet Borko. He is a poor older soul rescued from the streets of Bulgaria. Borko was likely someone's pet who ended up being dumped on the streets to survive on his own. A kind stranger saw Borko and started feeding him. Unfortunately, the sad doggie was not only hungry but also sick so the rescuers were contacted. It turns out Borko is probably around 8 or 9 years old. He is unfortunately sick with the tick-borne illness anaplasmosis. Borko was also rescued with leg trauma, likely from having been kicked. Thankfully, his leg does not require surgery and should recover with rehabilitation.
