Meet Charlie. He's a sweet dog who had been homeless on the streets of Bulgaria all his life. Kind neighbors would try to give him some food and check on him. Unfortunately, one day recently they saw Charlie being lethargic and limping and they contacted the rescuers. It turns out Charlie has the often deadly heartworm. Thankfully, the leg wound that caused him to limp is minor and will heal quickly.
